The story of this piece starts sadly -- after making an insurance claim on their beautiful stolen pendant, this customer came to our Gold Coast showroom with the intention of remaking their pendant.

Pam, our Gold Coast Manager, ordered in a few opals for the customer to view, who ended up picking an interestingly shaped design -- a long and slender opal. The setting was chosen as a half bezel, to highlight as much of the opal as possible.

Handmade in our workshop, the customer was ecstatic with the finished piece and purchased a beautiful chain to match.

The design was drawn up by consultant Pam, handmade by jeweller Tessa and set by setter Frankie.

Piece details: 9ct yellow gold handmade opal pendant. Set with 1x 17.1x5.3mm Lightning Ridge solid pear cut cabochon opal. Flat open back and bezel set at top and bottom with a bale.
